Summer is ending and autumn is quickly taking its place. I went for my first rainy-run this week. Nights are coming on earlier and I’m trying to let go of my dream of spending days on the beach in the sun. A time of transition has come.
Our busy season is over, international tourists are welcoming their spring, and New Zealanders are settling in for winter. Last April we took a vacation to celebrate a friend’s wedding, and this year we’re planning a trip to Australia. We need a bit of relaxation and recovery.
After a busy 6 days I had my first morning of no breakfast service. I had coffee in bed reading the paper and got out for a morning run. I am refreshed and revived. This walkway is healing. Looked like a yellow-brick road to me today.
