We love hearing from our guests. Kind comments, positive feedback, constructive comments that allow us to really ensure we are giving the best possible service in the best possible environment.
We use Facebook, as it’s a huge business tool here in New Zealand, and Trip Advisor to allow guests to comment on their stay. We also have a GuestBook, and just love seeing not only all the comments but seeing the lists of cities and countries that our guests come from.
The design of this House, and the service we offer were just ideas in our heads a few months ago. Each day, we have the chance to do our best, to provide a beautiful room, a wonderful breakfast, pretty grounds. Each day we get to renew our passion for this great House and our chance to live out a dream.
As a small business, these comments and the feedback from our guests truly means a lot to us. I feel a bit like Sally Field receiving her Oscar when guests take the time to comment. Our days are sometimes very long as new business owners, and these words provide great reassurance that we are doing all right.
I thought it would be fun to capture the feedback on the blog on an ongoing basis – as much as to share our excitement for this business, as to celebrate any success. Like our Oscar night minus the gowns. (Hmmm, that’s an idea….)
